About The Baby Grove

Sandy Colasacco, RN, BSN, CD (CBI)

Sandy Colasacco, Founder and President of The Baby Grove, LLC., is a Registered Nurse specializing in labor & delivery and postpartum nursing. She founded The Baby Grove after seeing the need for more education and quality care for mothers and babies after they leave the hospital. Sandy believes that when each individual member of the family is cared for, the family as a whole will be stronger and happier. By offering new families preventive care and information, she feels that many common issues addressing newborns and mothers can be avoided. She is dedicated to providing education and thoughtful care to all of her patients.


Training, Education & Expertise

Sandy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Family Studies from Wheaton College, Norton, MA. After graduation, she spent a number of years as an infant educator and administrator in a variety of childcare centers including The Children’s Corner at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. With an interest in and commitment to maternal and infant health, Sandy pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at The Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She completed her maternal health and her postpartum training at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to being a Registered Nurse, Sandy is a Birth and Postpartum Doula, a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, a certified Infant through Preschool teacher, and she is certified in healthcare provider CPR and Reiki I.


Beyond her work with The Baby Grove, Sandy also provides care to new moms and babies in St. John, USVI. Recognized within the Greater Boston community for her expertise on health related topics within childcare centers, Sandy acts as a Healthcare Consultant and gives seminars on topics such as Pediatric Illness and Preventing Disease in a Childcare Setting. Sandy has also written articles such as “Creating a Birth Plan,” published in the Expectant Mother’s Guide. Sandy is a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses; The American Holistic Nurses Association; and the International Association of Nurses – Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare.


Kelley Cole, RN, BSN

Kelley is the Founder of The Baby Grove South as well as the Nursing Coordinator for The Baby Grove. She began her career with The Baby Grove in 2011 as a private labor and postpartum nurse, working with families in the greater Boston area. After moving back home to Florida, she saw the need to bring the same standards of excellence in labor and postpartum nursing care to the Tampa Bay area and thus The Baby Grove South was founded in 2015.


Training, Education & Expertise

Maternal and newborn health has always been Kelley’s passion. Her philosophy regarding pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care is that every experience is unique and special. She believes that providing knowledge, emotional support, and reassurance are integral to having a happy and healthy birth and postpartum experience. Kelley’s deep sense of compassion and dedication are the qualities that set her care apart.


Kelley graduated as a Registered Nurse from Hillsborough Community College in 2006. After working in the women’s center of a local hospital for several years, she decided to further her education and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida. She is currently enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of South Florida. Her goal is to grow academically and professionally to continue to provide the families she works with the highest level of care.

Baby Grove Nurses

All nurses working with The Baby Grove are Registered Nurses, with a nursing license in good standing from The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. All Registered Nurses, have both hospital and home care experience in maternity, newborn and family care. They also have experience with twins and multiples. Each nurse is certified in healthcare provider CPR and holds a nursing degree from an accredited college/university. Biographical profiles for individual nurses available upon request.
